Russian Passport Photos

We produce high quality Russian passport and visa photos to the exacting criteria demanded by the Russian Government. Our helpful photographers know the requirements for Russian passport and visa photos and will ensure your photos are correctly sized, and all other current specifications are met.

International Russian Passport Photo Requirements

• Five (5) identical copies are required for International Russian Passports
• Russian passport photographs must be 35mm x 45mm in size
• Your head must occupy 25-30mm 60 - 80% of the passport photo
• Your Russian passport photos can be color or B/W
• Photos should be crisp and clear
• Made not later than one month before applying for registration of a new passport.
• If your passport is inscribed a child under the age of 14 years, we need five of his photographs, as well as an original birth certificate. Children over the age of 14 must have a separate passport.

Domestic Russian Passport Photo Requirements

• Four (4) identical copies are required for a domestic Russian Passport.
• The size specification is 35mm x 45mm
• Photo must be BW for Domestic Russian Passport Applications
• The space between the head and the top of the photo needs to be 4-6mm
• No head gear, jewelry or eye glasses are allowed in the photos
• Monotone clothing without brash designs must be worn for the photos
• The thickness of the passport photos should be less than 0.3mm

Russian Visa Photo Specifications

• Two (2) color photos.
• The photograph must be a full-face view in which the visa applicant is facing the camera directly, with eyes open.
• The photograph must have been taken within the last six months.
• 35 mm X 45 mm (1 3/8" X 1 3/4") with the head centered in the frame
• The applicant should not look down or to either side, and the face should cover about 50 percent of the photo area.
• Side or angled views are NOT accepted.
• Lighting should be such that there are no distracting shadows on the face or background.
• The photos must be clear, well defined and taken against a plain white or light-colored background.
• In general, the applicant's head, including both face and hair, should be shown from the crown of the head to the tip of the chin on top and bottom and from hairline side-to-side.
• Sunglasses or other wear which detracts from the face are not acceptable unless required for medical reasons (an eye patch, for example).
• Group photos are NOT acceptable. As a separate visa is issued to each qualified applicant, a photo of each applicant is required.
• Your face must be square to the camera with a neutral expression, neither frowning nor smiling, and with your mouth closed.
• Photocopied photographs are NOT accepted.
